The West Warwick Connie Mack team ended the regular season with their fourth consecutive win (three of them on the road) over Slocum Baseball, 5-4.

Led by the hitting of Nathan Hunt (3/3, one run scored & three stolen bases), Brendan Griffin (2/4, one run scored & three stolen bases), Joe Riviera (1/3, one run scored & two solen bases), Josh Pedus (1/3) and Jack Proulx (2/3, two rbi’s), the orange and black finished the regular season with a 7-5 record and the fifth seed in the upcoming state playoffs.

Slocum Baseball Club jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning with three runs on a Ben Raposa-Catero double and an error.

Trailing 3-2, West Warwick Connie Mack took the lead in the top of the fourth inning when Jack Proulx singled in Nathan Hunt and Luke Gallo.

Earning another victory for the orange and black was Brendan Griffin (pictured). In four innings of relief, Griffin allowed just one run on three hits, while striking out two batters. Out of 43 pitches, he threw 30 strikes.

Ronan Gately went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Slocum Baseball Club in hits. Raposa-Catero and Gil Bianchi each drove in one run for Slocum Baseball Club.

In their last regular season game of the summer, Flood Ford (8-3-1) clinched the top seed of the upcoming playoffs with a 10-0 victory over LaSalle.

Dylan Poloski pitched a five inning no hitter with 8 strikeouts for Flood Ford.

Led by a 15-hit attack, East Greenwich secured one of the top seeds with a 9-5 victory over Slocum Baseball.

Grogan O’Brien led the way for the Avengers with three hits and one rbi.

Brady O’Brien, Thomas Speltz, Lenny Kiernan (2) and Brady Fairbanks all had doubles.

Josh Pedus, who struck out eight batters in four innings, helped West Warwick to an 11-1 victory over Coventry.

Pedus, also, had three extra base hits (2 doubles and 1 triple) had three rbi’s.

While receiving eleven free passes to first, WWCM also received timely hits from Joseph Riviera (2/4), Brendan Griffin (1/3, 1 rbi), Leyton Belanger (1/3, 1 rbi), Jack Proulx (1/3) and Mike Gallo (1/3, 2 rbi’s). Anthony Burt walked four times.

Ethan Koczwarski led Coventry with two hits and Logan Lama drove in the lone run for Coventry.

Dylan Provoyeur pitched one inning of shutout ball for the orange and black; the right-handed pitcher allowed one hit, striking out one and walking one.

Braydon Ogden, who allowed only one hit, struck out eleven batters in five innings to lead Warwick PAL past Scituate, 11-0.

Austin Wheeler (3 hits and 2 rbi’s) and Conner Salzillo (3 rbi’s) led Warwick.
